Naseeruddin Shah: MNS Should Fight Enemies On The Border, Kill Pakistani Intruders

Naseeruddin Shah is known to speak his mind, no matter how controversial the subject. Hence, it didn’t come as a surprise when the veteran actor made some hard-hitting statements regarding the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan and the proposed ban on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Nasseruddin, who was the special guest at a book launch last evening along with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, went on to express his views

on the matter.

He said, “The film industry is an easy target. They (MNS) have as much fun targeting the industry as they would have while watching films made by Bollywood. We haven’t broken diplomatic ties with Pakistan, nor are we in the state of war, or have sealed our borders. Only artistes who aim to spread the message of love and peace are being attacked.”

Talking about the threatening messages that were sent to multiplex owners days before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil release, Naseeruddin added, “According to me, the brave hearts (MNS) who are threatening them (makers and multiplexes) with dire consequences should fight the enemies on the border, kill Pakistani intruders. What’s the point of threatening defenceless/harmless artistes?

The actor asserted that after witnessing all that is happening, he will certainly watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “Jis film ko censor ne release kar diya hai wo kyu nahi release karni chahiye? Uspe rukawat kyun aani chahiye?
Main Karan Johar ka koi bada fan nahi hu lekin ye film (ADHM) mai zaroor dekhunga. Kyunki main sochta hu ki aise kisi bhi creative insaan ko support karna chahiye jo apna kaam dikhana chahta hai. Halanki goverment ne bhi pura ashvasan diya hai ki iss film ko release karna hoga.

A few days ago, Karan Johar released a video to voice his opinion on the ongoing controversy whereby he said that while nothing comes before his country, but a crew of 300 ‘Indian’ people have worked hard on the movie and it would be unfair to them if Ae Dil... fails to hit theatres. Addressing the video, Naseer said, “Karan Johar ne jo gid gidakar jo maafi maangi, iski koi zarurat thi hi nahi.
